The lid-and-base format is the default structure for premium packaging for a reason: the two-piece construction provides inherent rigidity without hinges or clasps, the opening sequence is clean and intuitive, and the interior dimensions are fully usable with no hinge obstruction. We produce lid-and-base boxes in both rigid board and folding carton construction, depending on the application and budget.

Rigid lid-and-base boxes use 1,500–2,500gsm greyboard wrapped in specialty or printed paper. Folding carton versions use 350–450gsm coated board and ship flat. Both formats are available with shoulder (neck) inserts that position the lid to sit slightly elevated over the base, a detail that adds perceived value with minimal cost addition.

Interior options: velvet lining, satin lining, foam die-cut inserts, ribbon ties, and cardboard dividers. Lid depth and base depth ratios can be customized based on your product height and how much of the product you want visible when the lid is removed.

Surface finishes include hot foil stamping, soft-touch lamination, embossing, and specialty paper wrapping.
